Xamarin University Shield Logo
We’ve trained thousands of developers to use .NET to build mobile applications for iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile in the three years since Xamarin University launched. Many of these developers chose to become Xamarin Certified Mobile Developers by taking 20 selected courses with our live instructors and passing a challenging exam to demonstrate their expertise in cross-platform mobile development using Xamarin. We’re proud of all our certified developers, as we well know the dedication and time required to earn certification.
Xamarin Mobile Professional BadgeToday, we’re pleased to introduce a new certification level at Xamarin University, the Xamarin Certified Mobile Professional! This badge will be our initial certification level for developers to demonstrate fundamental competency in Xamarin mobile development. To make it easier to do the coursework, we’re making all required courses in the Xamarin Certified Mobile Professional tier available to Xamarin University trial users for FREE through our Self-Guided Learning portal. Once course requirements are complete, you can upgrade your trial subscription on the Visual Studio Marketplace to become eligible to take the Xamarin Professional Certification Exam and earn this initial certification.
Xamarin Mobile Developer BadgeYou won’t want stop there, though! Take your certification to the next level and become a Xamarin Certified Mobile Developer by completing the next tier, which builds on the knowledge gained in the professional certification classes through more advanced coursework. You’ll go deeper into patterns, complex debugging, and performance tuning. These courses are delivered by our expert trainers in live sessions so you get 1:1 attention and the most updated guidance and advice available.

All certification levels can be publicly verified and developers have the option to be featured on Xamarin DevConnect, a place to showcase their professional profile for mobile development opportunities. Learn more about our certification requirements and get started today.

One more thing—we’re also pulling the curtain on our redesigned Self-Guided Learning portal. It’s easier than ever to navigate, 100% mobile friendly, and easy on the eyes. We’ve also added six free new courses covering hot topics including Azure, UWP, and preparing to publish your application. Best of all, the entire catalog of 18 courses is completely FREE!

We’re excited about these changes that provide more options for developers to learn and showcase their cross-platform mobile development skills, and hope you are, too. Questions? See the certification FAQ or contact us at training@xamarin.com.
